I love this quote. It reminds me that there are always possibilities available to me, even when it feels like there aren't. The trick is to get creative, step outside of the box you've created for yourself, maybe get yourself into some new surroundings, open your mind, and trust that new ideas will come.

This happens to me all the time. I get into self-defeated mode, and all I can see is what isn't working, but when I change my attitude and look at things from a different angle, all of a sudden I can see things that I didn't before. Change your focus, focus on the positive, get creative, and your wildest dreams are available to you.

What experiences have you had with changing your focus and discovering new possibilities? I'd love to hear in the comments!

You are the second person to say this to me today! I am taking my little ones to the art museum today and am hoping to get some inspiration while there too.

Thanks for this great quote, Jessica! I shared it on Facebook and added that there are infinite possibilities out there, and the only thing that holds us back is ourselves! We need to remember that and this is a great reminder. Thanks again!! Reminds me
of that diet I need to start so I can lose weight and be able to fit into those great boots I bought from you!!!! :-)

As a creative person this quote spoke to me in every way possible.

I find that 'artist's dates' can be truly inspiring - plus changing mediums if you are having a tough time with one piece (say a painting) then go off to a local coffee shop perhaps - along with your sketch pad, and sketch away - whether it be patterns
you see, or drawing with your non-dominant hand... anything to alter your point of view. I also love Einstein's quote that 'Imagination is more important than knowledge." Plus stop worrying about the end product, but remember to enjoy the process of your art
(enjoy the sound of the pastels scratching noise, or the feeling of your fingers smoothing out the lines) - you will find yourself concentrating more on the art process itself rather than how it looks as we over-criticize ourselves far too often...

I needed a new focus for being online, so I signed up for this great e-course with Liv Lane, How to build a blog you love. It has opened up my eyes with wide amazement. So I'm working on a brand new blog and website for my artwork, so excited to get it
going!!

Thanks for all the comments, you guys! I'm glad this quote resonates with you, too-- I think it's so wonderful! Leah: YES! It's all about the process, isn't it? I love your tip to focus on the actual sounds and feelings of the process. Seems like that
could really help ground you in the moment. Sue: AWESOME! Annette: yeah!! You can do it! :) Kerry: isn't it amazing how we always hear what we need right when we need it, if we're willing to listen?
