I dream about having a backyard studio sometimes-- a little building that's separate from my house, so I can feel like I'm going to work every day but without the inconvenience of actually having to go somewhere else to work every day.

I dream of having tons of space and light to work in..... and then I found these images while browsing pinterest this morning. This is my DREAM. Look at that green roof!

This is a weaver's studio in Washington, and THIS IS WHAT I WANT. This is what I aspire to create for myself one day. Isn't it amazing?

And the fact that it's in Washington is a whole other aside... there are weird Washington coincidences happening in my life all the time lately. My husband will find out where he matches for his medical residency in just over 3 weeks, and the University of Washington is at the top of his list. We're getting strange Washington signs all the time lately-- like, we'll be walking in the neighborhood and start talking about where we'll be moving for his residency, and a car with a Washington license plate drives by. Or we're out to dinner and start talking about where we think he'll match for his residency, and someone at the next table happens to start talking about Seattle. I find a photo of my dream studio, and where is it? Washington.

Do you pay attention to signs like this in your life? Strange little synchronicities that seem to be trying to tell you something?

I'm VERY curious to find out if this is where we're going to end up! March 16th is the big day that we'll find out.... I'm trying to be patient, but it's SO HARD!

Anyway, what do you think about this studio? Isn't it incredible?

Love that studio! My granddaughters lived in Washougal WA for awhile and I visited several times - loved that state - so beautiful and totally different from flat Indiana. I agree the signs sure appear to be pointing that way and yes I have experienced
similar things in my life - I typically refer to them as "God-cidences" rather than coincidences! Hope all works out to your expectations.

Holy moly, that studio is fantastic! And yes, I do pay attention to those signs. Won't that be wild if that's where you end up?

LOVE that studio. I've been talking my husband's ear of about the type of studio I would love to have one day, too....and this one definitely looks amazing. I love the natural light, too....plus the big space to spread out...to have multiple work areas....to
really be able to organize and find all my supplies a home :).....sounds absolutely divine. Regarding life's little synchronicities....definitely need to pay more attention to them, however i'm constantly amazed at them when I spot them:). By the way, I love
your work! I'm so excited that I fell upon your website...I've always wanted to do what you're doing....it's just not a career like an accountant or something that this is a little easier to figure out how to get started....the art world doesn't have as many
guides :). Thanks for the inspiration!

I knew you'd all love this studio! And I had a feeling the people who read my blog would be into things like synchronicity, too. :) Kajal: don't let it stop you that there's not a clear path to becoming a full-time artist- just follow your heart and your
intuition and you can totally get there!!

Jessica, I moved to Seattle last year through a series off happenings (as you know nothing happens coincidentally) and I had been dreaming of Seattle for 3 years beforehand. Then out of the blue, it happened. Its far from my family. All of our friends
and family live on East Coast...but honestly, it is the most beautiful place I have ever lived...and the people are so nice...there is so much to do...it is a haven for artistic folk like us and its magical really. I used UW for major surgery back in October
and now am using them for an IVF (just about to finish) and they are wonderful! If you do live out here, I have no doubt you will love it and be inspired by all the nature and color out here. If you come out, we'll have to get coffee! (Literally that is all
everyone does here, or hang out in a cool, neighborhood bar playing games). Good luck on March 16th! Nicole

I've always loved the idea of a separate studio, too! Every time I see one of those large sheds at Lowe's I wish we had a bigger backyard, because that could work in a pinch. ;)

That studio looks awesome. I would like a studio like that as well. I wonder where that person is in Washington. I may need to become his or her friend. :-) I've lived in the Seattle area for almost a year. It's very different from the South from where
I moved but I'm adjusting to it nicely. Washington may be just the place for you and your husband, especially when you see all these Washington references. It's all synchrinicity for sure.
