Khristian, Niki, and I took a little jaunt to the High Museum here in Atlanta yesterday to see the Picasso to Warhol exhibit that's up right now. I realized just how long it's been since I've been to an art museum!
Some of my favorite pieces that we saw:

A blue and white sculpture by Louise Bourgeouis,

Brass wire sculptures by Alexander Calder,

Sculptures by Constantin Brancusi:

Iconic Campbell's Soup can paintings by Andy Warhol:

And this sculpture and its shadows by Alexander Calder:

We also saw an AMAZZZZZING exhibit by an artist named Grainger McKoy, who makes these incredible carved birds from wood, metal, and oil paint, and they look REAL. We weren't allowed to take photos, unfortunately, but check out this photo of his studio that I found on his website:

Whoa. I would LOVE to go into that room and look around at all the treasures. Amazing.
Have a good weekend! Do you have any fun plans?

Michelle and I have been talking about it for a while, and we’re so excited to finally announce our first ever Declaration of You workshop in Berkeley, California! For 2 full days, we’ll get our declaring on and kick our shoulds to the collective curb– doesn’t that sound glorious?
WHEN: January 7-8, 2012, 10am- 5pm both days (what a great way to start off the year!)
WHERE: Teahouse Studio in Berkeley, CA
COST: $385.00 (or get $20 off if you register before November 15th!)
HOW MANY PEOPLE: limited to 20
Registration closes on December 16th!
QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:
Q: I’ve already taken The Declaration of You e-course and/or bought the workbook– how is the workshop going to be different?
A: Great question. While the topics will be the same as those in the e-course, the exercises are going to be 100% new and different, and it’s going to be very hands-on and FUN! You’ll get to experience the topics in totally new ways and really live into the new discoveries you make about yourself. Plus, the exercises and experiences will vary from collaging to guided meditations to playing store with fake Pierre money– it’s going to be a blast!
Q: Where am I going to stay in Berkeley?
A: There are tons of hotels very close to Teahouse Studio– we’ll provide a list of resources for the area as the workshop gets closer, but you can already find details here (sneak preview: both the San Francisco and Oakland airports are super convenient, and the nearest hotel is just a five minute walk!). Berkeley is also just a hop, skip, and a jump away from San Francisco, so there’s plenty to do and see and plenty of places to stay and eat. Why not turn it into a vacation in the beautiful Bay Area after the workshop is over?

If you want in, now’s the time to reserve your spot, because we don’t know how fast it’s going to fill up. Remember, the workshop is limited to just 20 participants, and you can get $20 off if you register before November 15th. We can’t wait to get to have a real intimate group and learn, grow, laugh, cry, share a-ha! moments, and get our hands dirty together!
Head on over to the Teahouse Studio website for more details and to register (before November 15th for $20 off!), and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
We hope you’ll join us– it’s going to be an event not to be missed! Epiphanies will abound, I’m sure of it. (And there may or may not be ukuleles involved… I’m just saying.)

What happens when Michelle and I get together to write and record a promo song on our ukuleles for The Declaration of You?
The above video is your answer. "The Story of Pierre" is the very first song and music video by our new band, The Declaration of Ukes. Please enjoy. (It's *very* silly!)
And please share it!! Our ridiculous lyrics, dance moves, and coordinated striped dresses are just begging to be spread around the internets!
Also, registration opens for The Declaration of You next Wednesday, and we want you to join us! Get on our list for secret special info on MOnday-- you can sign up in the sidebar of our website.
*And don't forget to watch the bloopers for our video! You can find them all right here.

Introducing: The Declaration of Ukes! from Pierre François Frédéric on Vimeo.
Michelle and I are getting ready to open registration for The Declaration of You next week (on Wednesday! Which is my birthday!), and we decided we needed to do something fun to let people know what we were up to. Which obviously meant starting a band called The Declaration of Ukes (all credit goes to Michelle for the brilliance of that name) and writing a song together on our teeny, adorable ukuleles!
So we pulled out our ukuleles last week and wrote our first song together. We spent the entire second day of my quick trip to NYC last week writing, singing, and recording our song.... and as you can imagine, MANY bloopers resulted! Bad chords, lots of laughing, me getting bossy about tuning Michelle's ukulele, Michelle laying the smack down about show business....
The WORLD PREMIERE of our music video will be on Thursday, but we're posting our bloopers every day until then (because we think they're hilarious)-- today is blooper day #2! Blooper reel #1 is above, and here is today's blooper reel:
"The Story of Pierre": Verse Bloopers! from Pierre François Frédéric on Vimeo.
Please enjoy. I hope it'll give you a little chuckle this morning. :)
And if you'd like to get on the VIP list for The Declaration of You, you'll get a secret, special email next week about early registration and free goodies-- you can sign up in the sidebar of our website if you're interested!
And don't forget, we'll have another blooper video tomorrow, and then the big music video premier on Thursday!!
