I just had to share this photo from my weekend with you.... this was pretty much my dream come true. I *love* snuggle time with the kitties, but it doesn't usually happen with both of them at the same time-- Anika and Juneau have never snuggled up this close with me together before. Anika was laying directly on top of Juneau! It was the coziest Saturday night ever. I made Ryan takes a photo because it was so freaking adorable. I look sort-of weird, but look at those sweet kitty faces!
If you've ever wondered what I do when I'm not working, this pretty much sums it up. This is one of my favorite things in the world to do.
We watched the movie 50/50 while this snuggle action was going on-- have you seen it? I really liked it! Though I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, and the guy in the movie got a rare form of cancer in his back... so now I have that worry to add to my list of things that could potentially one day be wrong with me. Oy. Do you have fears and worries like that? I've been like that since I was a kid.
Anyway, that's all for today! Are you ready to have an awesome week? I know I am! :)
Khristian, Niki, and I took a little jaunt to the High Museum here in Atlanta yesterday to see the Picasso to Warhol exhibit that's up right now. I realized just how long it's been since I've been to an art museum!
Some of my favorite pieces that we saw:

A blue and white sculpture by Louise Bourgeouis,

Brass wire sculptures by Alexander Calder,

Sculptures by Constantin Brancusi:

Iconic Campbell's Soup can paintings by Andy Warhol:

And this sculpture and its shadows by Alexander Calder:

We also saw an AMAZZZZZING exhibit by an artist named Grainger McKoy, who makes these incredible carved birds from wood, metal, and oil paint, and they look REAL. We weren't allowed to take photos, unfortunately, but check out this photo of his studio that I found on his website:

Whoa. I would LOVE to go into that room and look around at all the treasures. Amazing.
Have a good weekend! Do you have any fun plans?
The cuteness around here was irresistible yesterday. Every time I turned around, one of my cats was doing something "helpful" in my studio, like laying on top of the pile of stuff I was working on, or pawing at the printer, or knocking pens off my desk and onto the floor...
Anika looked pretty serious about laying on that shipping envelope. Like she won't move for anything.

And look at Juneau's little baby tongue sticking out! So cute.
I love having my little helpers around to keep me company during the day. I love working alone in my studio, but it sure is nice to have my sweet little darlings to talk to all day.
Do you have animals at home? Are they "helpful" like mine are? Are you obsessed with them like I am obsessed with mine?
