sneak peek: sri lanka collection
Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 6:00AM
I've had travel on my brain lately, particularly to somewhere warm, sunny, and full of beaches, so I thought I'd live vicariously through my artwork, which gets to go wherever it pleases. I got inspired by Sri Lanka, and voila! A new collection of patterns. I'm in love with the colors-- the feel so juicy, like you could eat them right up! I picture mango juice dripping down my arms. Yum.
Which is your favorite of the bunch? (Mine's the top left, in case you were wondering.)
{This collection is available for license/sale, so please email me if you'd like to discuss and see the collection in full!}

Love the new set Jess! My favorite is the bottom left, closely followed by the one one the middle left, then the bottom right! And I agree, the colors are incredible!
Those ARE juicy colors. I love the mosaic-y quality of some of the patterns, especially the bottom middle one. I'm usually not very attracted to things pink, so the pop of blue in that pattern is just right for me.
My favorite is the same as yours. I love geometric shapes that the dots are creating, without the hard edges of the lines. The colors and the bright background are great too! I'm all about the geometric patterns right now, and am so excited to pick up a book I just bought from the post office on Tribal and Village Rug Design :)

Hi Jessica! I've been following your blog for a while so I thought I'd come out of the dark and comment on this post! My faves are the bottom/middle and the center/right. Thank you for sharing your lovelylovelylovely art with us!
Wow! I was just fantasizing about going to Sri Lanka the other day (not going to happen any time soon, sadly)- but at least I can take a sensory trip with these patterns! I love the feelings the vibrant colours and tropical forms create-- my favorites are the left and right middle. X
love these Jess, yummy!
