When I was looking at this painting trying to decide what I wanted to call it, 'hope' seemed to ring true. There was something that felt hopeful about the pandas. They also kind-of seem as if they're waiting for something. So as I kept looking at it, I realized that maybe they're just sitting there. I was trying to construct a story about them, to make it mean something, when maybe the story is that they're just sitting, being, with balloons. Maybe it's simple, and the pandas just know how to BE without a big story being necessary.

So this piece is about just sitting. Being. Just because. It's a print of an original painting done in acrylic, oil, and linoleum block printing on wood. It's printed on archival white matte paper, with a small white border for easy framing/matting.

It will come signed and dated by moi.
