20 Things You Might Not Know About Me

April from Blacksburg Belle tagged me in a new series she’s starting on her blog in order to get our blogging community talking about different topics and getting to know each other a bit better. Fun, right? I thought it’d be fun to play along, as the first topic is ‘20 Things You Might Not Know About Me‘, and April came up with some fun questions for the folks she tagged (including me) to answer.
So, here we go! 20 things you might not know about me.
////////

Question 1: How tall are you?

I’m 5’4″. (Technically, I think I’ve actually shrunk a little bit and am now 5′ 3.75″….)

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?

Hmmmm. I used to be a singer-songwriter back in my college days. I sing and play guitar. It’s not a hidden talent necessarily, but not something that many people know about me.
Also, I’m good at making really stupid faces in photos.

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?

Bloggers who like to brag. It turns me off right away.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?

Really unnecessarily loud motorcycles. Also, people who chew with their mouths open.

Question 5: What’s your favorite song?

This is such an impossible question to answer. I have so many! I think one of my all-time favorites, though, is More Than Words by Extreme. Man I love that song!

Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?

Laura George. I love her artwork so much!

Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Reading a good book under a cozy blanket.

Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?

Juanita’s tortilla chips. They’re irresistible.

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

Yep, I have 2 sweet cats, named Anika and Juneau. I love them beyond words.

Question 10: What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books?

Fiction: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo
Non-fiction: Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. I pretty much love everything he writes.
Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?

Almay Mascara. Simple, but true. It’s not tested on animals, and that’s important to me.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?

Wellllll, without going into too much detail, I had an embarrassing moment while at a doctor’s appointment recently when I bust out laughing while talking about female anatomy, like an immature 12 year old. The doctor did not share my humor, and I felt so lame! Haha.

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Kombucha. I love the stuff.

Question 14: What’s your favorite movie?
Dirty Dancing. It’s a relic from my childhood that I’ll love unconditionally forever and ever. Another fave: Lost in Translation. (I love Bill Murray!)

Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?

Choir girl + artist. I wasn’t a cool kid, but I wasn’t an uncool kid either. Right in the middle!

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

On a houseboat in Amsterdam.

Question 17: PC or Mac?

Mac. Of course.

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?

My husband brought home not one, not two, but THREE bouquets of flowers on our recent 5th wedding anniversary!

Question 19: Favorite celebrity?

Mark Ruffalo. I love him!

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with?

Havi Brooks. She seems like an amazing, kooky delight of a person. (And she lives in my town!)
