When will my order be shipped?
Orders are shipped on Mondays and Thursdays. All items except iPhone cases and 11 oz. mugs will ship on the closest Monday or Thursday from the time your order is placed.
– iPhone cases and 11 oz. mugs. These items are printed to order and will ship directly from the manufacturer, generally within 4-5 days of placing your order. As they are printed to order, they are not returnable.
How will my order be shipped?
I use the US Postal Service for shipping most of the time. I ship everything first-class or Priority mail, and everything is packaged with care. I am not responsible for lost or damaged shipments. Please contact me if something extreme happens, though, and I’ll do my best to fix it.
Rain boots will usually be shipped via FedEx.
Can you make a phone case specifically for my phone?
My iPhone cases are printed on demand. I do not manufacture them myself, so unfortunately I can’t make you a custom cases– whether you’d like a specific pattern or a case for a specific type of phone. The manufacturer that I use is in charge of the types of cases they offer and for which phones! I currently offer iPhone 4/4s, 5/5s, 5c, 6, and 6 plus cases on my website.
I have a problem with one of your iPhone cases that I bought at the AT&T store (or somewhere other than on your website). Can I return it to you? Can you tell me what I should do?
If you have a problem with a case you purchased somewhere other than on this website, www.jessicaswift.com, please contact the store where you purchased it in order to return or exchange. I cannot accept returns or exchanges for items that weren’t purchased through my website.
If you have a problem with a case that you ordered here on www.jessicaswift.com, please do let me know!
KICKSTARTER / RAIN BOOTS
I loved your rain boot Kickstarter project back in 2011! Can you help me with mine?
Congrats on wanting to create a Kickstarter project! While I’m unable to offer any individual advice, you can read this blog post that I wrote about my project and listen to this podcast interview. Hopefully those’ll help you out a bit!
When will you have new rain boot designs available?
I believe in starting small and growing from there, and that’s the philosophy behind the rain boots– I don’t know if I’ll produce more, but maybe at some point in the future!
FOR STUDENTS / ASPIRING DESIGNERS
I’m a student/aspiring designer– can you help me start my career as a pattern designer?
Congratulations on wanting to be a pattern designer and/or full-time artist! It’s a very rewarding and fun career, I can assure you. :) My full schedule doesn’t allow me to respond to each individual email I receive… so I wrote an e-book called Jump Trust Repeat in order to answer all of the questions (in detail!) that I’m frequently asked. It’s 120 pages of stories, encouragement, information, and answers, for artists just like YOU! You can find it RIGHT HERE.
How do you create your artwork? Can you teach me how to create a repeat pattern?
My patterns are all created digitally in Adobe Illustrator. I both draw in my sketch book and scan the drawings in to work with them and I work with a pen/tablet to draw directly info my computer. My paintings are mixed media and come from many layers and painting over ugly parts. :) If you’re interested in learning how to create repeat patterns, my e-course Pattern Camp will help you immensely! Check it out here.
I talk about my artwork creation process in some detail in my e-book, Jump Trust Repeat, as well.
Can I use your patterns for free on my own website/blog/twitter page?
I work with companies who purchase and license my patterns, so giving them away for free would not be fair to them. While I’m happy you like my work, the free use of my patterns or other artwork on your own site is not permitted. But if you’d like to talk about purchasing the rights to use it, please contact me!
Do you ever have sales?
I usually have 2-3 of sales each year– one on my birthday in August, one on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving in the USA), and maybe another surprise one somewhere. The best way to find out about them is to get on my email list!
