- sticker on the back with this painting's unique energy: SERENDIPITY
In the fall of 2018 I created a series of 100 rainbow paintings following the unexpected death of my then-husband Ryan. Through a series of serendipities during those dark days, rainbows began to symbolize gratitude for me. Creating the paintings was a balm for my soul and helped me begin my healing journey. I created those 100 paintings as a visual thank you to everyone in my world who showed up for me in that painful time.
This year I felt called to create 100 more. This new series of rainbow paintings is also about gratitude – but gratitude for myself this time. For how far I've come and for how I've grown and continued to show up with an open heart. They are about self-love, freedom, resilience, inherent worthiness, forgiveness, self-respect, tenacity, growth, kindness, healing, and so much more. They are for me, but they are also for anyone else who is working hard to cultivate these kinds of things for themselves, in their own lives.
These paintings are a visual reminder of who you truly are underneath it all: You are a magical, sensational being who is worthy of everything your loving heart desires. Just because. And I am that, too. It is hard work being a human who is trying to heal, to grow, to feel better. And I think we can all use some support, some reminders, and some connection as we walk our unique roads.
These rainbows are little magical gems to hang on your wall as a reminder of the magical gem that YOU are.

Every piece of art and every product that I make begins with an intention to connect with my intuition and with myself. Who am I today, and what do I need? Making art smooths out life’s rough edges and helps me make sense of all the complex feelings and experiences that are part of being human. Creating helps me find joy, acceptance, and gratitude. It is a balm for my soul, and I hope the things I make will feel like a balm for yours, too.
Whether it is a piece of wall art for your home that I created using paint, markers, and colored pencils, a deck of animal totem oracle cards, a bright, patterned iPhone case, or a hand-drawn greeting card — every single product that I sell is made with heart. Most products are made right here in my studio in Portland, OR.
My work is created both traditionally and digitally; my favorite materials and tools include acrylic paint, gouache, colored pencils, paint markers, wood panels, fabric, my computer, and my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I also sometimes use fun things like glitter, resin, and sequins!
