This message is simple and verrrrry cliche, But BREATHING is actually something I’m trying to do more of lately. I find myself holding my breath a lot. While working, while worrying, while rushing around, etc etc. I even found myself holding my breath while working on this drawing, sitting in the back yard in the setting sun on a gorgeous evening! Whenever I remember to take a few deep breaths it helps me soften, loosen my grip, get back into my body instead of all up in my head. It also helps me remember to look up, to look around, and to notice what’s in my wider world instead of just what’s in the immediate bubble around me. It helps me remember myself. It helps me pause, to listen to my intuition, and it gives me the chance to possibly make a new or different choice than I might otherwise. Such a simple and automatic thing, breathing, but so complex at the same time.
