This is not easy to do. And I’m not even talking about the hard feelings, but sometimes the good feelings, too. Like, waiting for the other shoe to drop… when something feels good and then sort-of sabotaging it or protecting yourself from feeling it fully because some worry pops into your head that the good feeling will be taken away somehow, or something bad will happen, so don’t feel too good or you’ll be even more disappointed when it falls apart. Know what I mean?? So I wonder if walking toward all the feelings, the good ones and the hard ones, instead of running from them or steeling ourselves against them, allows us to accept each type of feeling more fully and know that we will be ok no matter what…
