FAQ

Shipping

Orders are shipped on Tuesdays and Fridays. All items except iPhone cases will ship on the closest Tuesday or Friday from the time your order is placed.

iPhone cases are shipped separately from the rest of your order. The cases are printed to order and will ship directly from the manufacturer, generally within 4-5 days of placing your order. As they are printed to order, they are not returnable.

I use the US Postal Service (USPS) for shipping most of the time. I ship everything First-Class or Priority Mail, and everything is packaged with care.

Jessica Swift is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments. Please contact me if something extreme happens, though, and I’ll do my best to fix it.

Returns

You may return any item(s) (with the exception or iPhone cases) purchased from this web site for any reason within the first thirty (30) days from the date of shipment. I will gladly exchange your product (equal or lesser value), or give you a full refund (excluding shipping cost), whichever you prefer. Returns after 30 days are for credit/exchange only.

The returned merchandise must be sent back in its original packaging, and returned in the same new condition as when sold to you, including all packaging, parts, etc.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

iPhone Cases

My iPhone cases are printed on demand. I do not manufacture them myself, so unfortunately I can't make you a custom case – whether you'd like a specific pattern or a case for a specific type of phone. The manufacturer that I use is in charge of the types of cases they offer and for which phones! I currently offer cases for many types of iPhone.

For Students/Aspiring Designers

Congratulations on wanting to be a pattern designer and/or full-time artist! It's a very rewarding and fun career, I can assure you. :) My full schedule doesn't allow me to respond to each individual email I receive... so I wrote an e-book a number of years ago called Jump Trust Repeat in order to answer all of the questions (in detail!) that I'm frequently asked. It's 120 pages of stories, encouragement, information, and answers, for artists just like YOU! You can find it RIGHT HERE.

I also teach online pattern design courses on Skillshare which will teach you all the technical skills and design confidence you'll need to get your career started!

My patterns are all created digitally in Adobe Illustrator. I both draw in my sketch book and scan the drawings in to work with them and I work with a pen/tablet to draw directly info my computer. My paintings are mixed media and come from many layers and painting over ugly parts. :) If you're interested in learning how to create repeat patterns, my Pattern Camp classes will help you immensely!

I talk about my artwork creation process in some detail in my e-book, Jump Trust Repeat, as well.
